Trust the Seasons

We're disconnected from the Earth and her rhythms- believing we're mean to stay in full bloom year-round, always growing, never allowed to rest or cut back. But nature doesn't work that way. The rose teaches us daily: everything has a season. Nothing on this planet stays the same. Night becomes day. Seasons turn. We age, we birth, we die. We may return to a place, a person - but it's never quite as it was. Everything is always becoming.
The tighter we grip and try to keep things static, the further we drift from the flow of life itself. Change can be frightening. It asks us to surrender to the in-between - no longer who we were not yet who we're becoming. It asks us to trust the death that makes rebirth possible, and to hold reverence for every season of our life. The more we resist change, the further we are from who we're becoming. To embrace change is to embrace life, nature, and art - forever in motion.
Soul inquiry: How can you embrace the changing season of your life?
